Went to find my girls a puppy. They showed us each one.
They couldn't decide which one.
They asked to see one more, but the lady assumed we weren't buying, so she told us we couldn't look at any more. The 75 and Eldorado in McKinney location.

The store manager, who said his name is Abel, was the most disrespectful employee I've encountered anywhere. It was disappointing that he refused to help remedy the situation that his own employees created.
On September 27th, I went to Petland in Janesville to buy frogs and fish for the aquarium. I had previously bought a frog the week before, and he seemed to adjust well, so I went to get more. I asked for two more frogs and verified this was okay for my community tank to which she assured me they are. I also got some neon tetras and then met her up at the front register.
When she came to the front, this employee had the frogs and the fish in the same bag. I specifically asked, 'Is that okay that they are in the same bag?' And she said yes. By the time I drove home, there were no more tetras. I called back up to the pet store and told them what happened and she apologized and said that was her fault.
I was asked to call on Tuesday when the big boss was going to be there and I said yes- no problem. She was very courteous and kind and took accountability for the mistake. I very much respect that.
On Saturday, a friend who is an aquatics specialist said those frogs cannot be in a community tank.
They are actually quite aggressive, and he can't believe they put the fish in the same bag. He also said the frogs would be okay in my community shrimp tank as they will get eaten. On Tuesday, I wasn't able to call, so I called around 12:30 on Wednesday. I asked to talk to the store manager and a Hispanic man with a very heavy accent got on the phone.
I told him the situation and he said they don't return animals they cannot take the frogs back. The best he can do is replace the tetras that got eaten. I said, 'But they will get eaten, they cannot be in the same tank,' and he replied that's the best he can do. He said next time I get fish I should Google it!
I told him I didn't think it was fair. I was stuck with these frogs that the employees told me it was okay to put in my tank, and they are eating all my fancy shrimps and other fish!!! I asked to talk to the manager above him. Is there a regional manager and he said that was him.
I questioned who was above him or who's the owner, and he told me to Google it. I asked what his name was and I had to ask multiple times, and he said his name was Abel. He then asked, 'What's your name? What's your name?' Interrupting me repeatedly saying it goes both ways, you want to know mine, tell me yours.
I ended up hanging up because he was not giving me any type of resolution. he was disrespectful, and it was honestly the most unpleasant experience I have ever had at a pet store. I really enjoyed the girls that I had interacted with previously. They were all very sweet and lovely people to encounter.
I hope to figure out a way to resolve this situation without me ever having to speak to that man again. At the very least refunded for the fish that they put in the same bag and got eaten.

Reimbursement
We purchased a puppy, which we adore from the Petland Mall of Georgia within two days we had to take it to the vet because it had a horrible cough and gagging, and so we thought it was kettle cough, which it was, and then it turned out to be bronchitis, possibly pneumonia we sent the invoices in because we were still under the 14 day window and we need to get that money reimbursed back to us that we spent at the vet office.

I always see kids unattended by their parents picking up the animals and being rough with them. I've even seen one kid drop a cockatiel on the floor, which may have injured it; the animals don't seem to be very safe in the store against customers who can't keep their hands to themselves.
I've seen this every time I visit the store - it's otherwise very clean, good products and wonderful customer service.
The cashiers are always very friendly, but seem intimidated to say anything to the lazy parents not paying attention to their children. Mind your children people, please!

Puppy sick
My puppy is very sick. we bought him exactly a week ago and we cant contact the veterinarian that hes supposed to go to because hes out on vacation.
Petland does not answer his phone number because theyre close were going frustrated. Not good

Your manager at Southridge has hired her daughter as assistant manager. She works all mornings with week off. A lot of favouritism going on.
This woman was let go at her last place of employment due to the same issue. Its very unfair to the staff that has been there longer.
Im sorry but family shouldnt be hiring family and then favouring them over everyone else. This person thats managing your store is not a good person.
This needs to be addressed immediately. Thank you

Petland is a total scam. We bought a Dachshund puppy from them and they told us it was a mini Dachshund, but it wasn't.
The dog also had a broken tail. Even the Petland representative said that it was not a mini because every dog had paperwork that indicated mini or full size (ours did not have that).
When we contacted PetLand, they basically said that we bought it and you are stuck with the dog.
They were very unaccommodating with anything.
Be very careful when you buy a pet from them. They will not stand behind the sale.
Worst customer service I have ever encountered.
Stay away!!

I purchased a dog at Pembroke Pines and University location I was put on the plan that was a certain amount of money at no interest for a year and the balance to be paid at the end of the year you sent me a bill the first month which was double the amount of the agreed price plus interest I have the written contracts and all the conversations I had with corporate and Petland credit card company you said you were going to fix the problem and for the last 2 months you haven't done a thing except charge me double the interest just got a bill for $600 and $54 I've been dealing with you people for 3 months trying to straighten this out without having to take legal action since you people are incompetent and ignoring me I have seek legal counsel and you will not get away with this I have signed and written contracts on the promotion that I agreed with I have written conversations with corporate Petland and credit card community you will not do this to me it is affecting my credit score which affects my life so there's going to be a problem and the problem is going to be yours believe me I've already seeked advice from my attorney they have looked at all the papers I have gotten and you people are totally wrong and we'll be hearing from me this week February the 17th and on I am 65 years old and this was supposed to be a joyous occasion for my first dog and you people have made it a nightmare I've tried to do this nicely and you people are incompetent used car salesman and you will pay for my stress and the things I've had to go through to get to the point that we're going to get to and you are a totally in the wrong

Would not let us hold at puppy at 5:30pm when they close at 9pm. They have let my daighter hold a puppy up to around 8:00pm so not sure why today was any different. Would like to talk to the owner as we wrre the only two in the store.

Went in to see if my daughter could hold a puppy at 5:30pm. They dont close til 9pm.
My daughter request to hold a puppy and they said all the dogs had to much play time and they weren't allowing anyone to hold the puppies. We were the only ones in the store.
We have went in to hold puppies at 8pm so not sure what the problem was. I would also like to talk to the owner about how we are treated but there is no number.

Not honoring the contract I originally signed up for and is affecting my credit I tried to contact talk to supervisors corporate credit card company and you refuse to help me out now I have to acquire legal action this was supposed to be a joyous occasion and you people have made it nothing but a nightmare

My dog had sever hip dysplasia where the quality of life and length are impacted and may need total hip replacement. Petland did nothing to support me with a sick dog or the over 6K cost charged.
